"For the Love of a Child"
Again this year, Oregon PTA is proud to partner with the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and the Oregon Parent Information & Resource Center (ORPIRC) for our annual convention.
The highlights of this year's convention will include a group dialogue about the role of parents as leaders. The workshops are organized to provide information and resources that parents will need to be successful as a leader. The topics range from school report
cards, common student performance standards, basic non-profit leader training (president, secretary, treasurer) as well as information about events and programs you can do at your school.
Saturday we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Reflections Program with a message from the National PTA President Chuck Saylors, a special key note speaker and inspiring program at the luncheon. We are also hosting a representative from the National
PTA Board of Directors, Vitto Borello, who will bring updates from National PTA and collect input from our attendees for the National PTA strategic plan.
